Designing a landscape is like any other artistic endeavor-it takes
time and vision.
Sometimes the homeowner or the designer will have
a clear vision right away, but
most often several
options are looked
at and combined to come up with your final, beautiful landscape.
Step One: Initial consultation-This is the initial meeting at your home, we will walk through your landscape and
discuss the things you like and dislike about your yard. We will also discuss what your vision is for your new yard and
how you see yourself utilizing it. After the initial meeting I will mail you a contract with a detailed scope of work and
a detailed cost for the design (paid in thirds, one third at each meeting.)
Step Two: After receiving your retainer payment (1/3 of the final cost of the design) I will return to your home
to take measurements and photograph the site. From these measurements I will create a base map, which is a
drawing of your property as it appears today. I then create several rough drawings of possible concepts for your
new landscape. We meet a second time to discuss these options and make changes before proceeding to a final
design. At this time your second payment is due.
Step Three: The final plan for your new landscape is completed taking into consideration any changes
we made at the second meeting. Each plan is labeled with all plants, hardscape elements (patios, fences, walls, etc.)
and any containers or art pieces. Your final drawing also comes with a detailed plant list for your shopping convenience.
Final payment is due upon presentation of the final design.
